Federico Salas is alcoholic and single. He is a pianist who works in a private school as a music teacher. Federico tries to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. This leads him to be temporarily in a wheelchair and is left in charge of his brother Clemencio. They both set out on a trip to Oyacal to sell their family’s land. In an unexpected shooting, while trying to sell the property, Clemencio is killed. Federico, after the shooting, wakes up in a hospital and is taken to a psychiatric hospital. Inside the psychiatric hospital, Federico begins to virtuously interpret a melody on the organ. Federico finishes interpreting the melody and is applauded by all the patients.
